Yet Another Terror Plot Disrupted in NYC

By William Tucker

New York City Police arrested two men late Wednesday who intended to carry out terrorist attacks against Jewish targets in the New York area. Both men are considered asperational homegrown terrorists of North African descent and were arrested after they attempted to acquire firearms and explosives.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly will be giving a press conference later today that will hopefully shed light on some aspects of the case as well as any connections to foreign terrorist groups. The FBI led Joint Terrorism Task Force refused to pursue the case so it is more likely that these two suspects were operating independently.
