Organizations have created different ways of working, including a much greater use of remote workers. Now, company employees and managers utilize resources and programs that weren’t often employed when they were in a brick-and-mortar office. Also, remote workers are meeting other remote workers online — sometimes for the first time — and forming teams to meet the goals of the organization.

Start a management degree at American Public University.

Recent graduates who are just entering the workplace are experiencing these same changes. For students preparing to seek a job after graduation, consider your talents and how you could best employ your various talents to provide value to an organization.

For example, imagine that you have studied management and received suggestions on how to utilize the information that you’ve learned. Think of how you might implement those suggestions in your new work environment.

How to Create Business Value

There are various ways for you to create business value within an organization. Here are some questions for you to consider:

  • What is the best way to utilize your talent within the organization?
  • How might you motivate other workers to provide value to the organization, with your work duties or when you become a manager?
  • As you take on other duties, how might you utilize your talents to show your value?

Another suggestion is to talk with your manager. He or she might provide you with other duties and work with your organization.

As you gain experience in the workplace, other talents of yours might emerge. Your work might provide motivation by example to other employees.
