U.S. Secret Service agents arrested a woman with a handgun outside the White House not long after President Barack Obama’s address to the nation on immigration reform.

April Lenhart, 23, of Mount Morris, Mich., was taking part in a demonstration along the perimeter of the White House when agents spotted a holstered gun on Lenhart’s hip at around 8.30 p.m. Her arrest was first reported by CBS News:

Agents charged Lenhart with carrying a pistol without a license and possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition. Her arrest came only a day after a man was apprehended and arrested after telling a White House checkpoint official that President Obama had “invited him.” Secret Service agents subsequently discovered an arsenal in that man’s vehicle—including a rifle, ammunition and a knife.

The two incidents are major positives for the beleaguered Secret Service which has experienced some embarrassing gaffes in 2014 including multiple White House intruders—one of whom made his way inside the mansion.

President Obama had finished his speech inside the East Room of the White House 30 minutes prior to Lenhart’s arrest. Obama’s announced executive orders paved the way for almost 5 million undocumented immigrants to avoid deportation—angering Capitol Hill Republicans who state that they will vigorously battle his plans.
