In Homeland Security’s Sylvia Longmire’s take on the Border Wall Question

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump brought up the issue of illegal immigration and his proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall on August 31 in front of a packed crowd in Phoenix.
“Our message to the world will be this: You cannot obtain legal status or obtain citizenship in the United States by illegally entering our country,” stated Trump.
Regarding the potential for a fence or wall along the entire length of the Southwest border, Trump didn’t back down on his assertion that it would happen under his presidency and that Mexico would pay for it.
“We take anybody, just come on in,” he said. “Not anymore.”
His appearance was accompanied by emotional testimony from Americans who have lost friends and family members at the hands of undocumented immigrants. Last week, a Honduran citizen — in the United States illegally — killed two people and injured dozens more when he crashed the bus he was driving into a fire truck and other vehicles.
